Potential complications of knee replacement
Knee Replacement is an operation which does carry some significant risks.
The surgeon will try and reduce the risks to the minimum possible before embarking on a knee replacement. The surgeons would discuss these risks in some details in an understandable language. It is fairly important to understand the risks before proceeding with surgery. One should weigh the risks and benefits. If the risks appear higher than the benefits, think again before proceeding. If the benefits are higher than the risks, going ahead with a knee replacement is a sensible approach.
