Can any person who has done some homework on the subject, recommend a one or  two renouned athroscopic surgeons in the UK or else where in Europe?
I can't afford to go wrong again!!

Hi there Phillip

It just so happens I may be able to help you here!!
Besides the fact I completed a medical degree last year here in the UK...I had quite a bad knee injury that has caused me recurring problems....and so I have expended a lot of intellectual resources in finding the BEST possible surgeon to look at my knee at this stage.
The surgeon that MANY other surgeons have recommended to me, not to mention Physiotherapists and other Doctors is an OS based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK

He has an excellent pedigree! and is the "knee surgeon" of choice for many premiership footballers (ACL recons etc) here in the UK. Also, he actually sets the exams and provides the ultra specialist training for many other European knee surgeons in the field of modern arthroscopy!

Anyway, I found him to be a thoroughly nice guy who was also HONEST and did not make wild claims like he would have me sprinting again within a week! (which I knew he would not). Though he WILL be hopefullly providing the final fix for my recovery by way of an arthroscopy for me in a few months to clean up any minor scarring of the operation site (IF my latest round of physio does not ease the tightness in the operation site). My first surgeon who did the op was Excellent and I was lucky with him but I don't want to take ANY chances if I am having a 2nd op and want to get the BEST I can if I am paying....(the first was NHS)

His initial consult cost me £120....an arthroscopy with menscal repair/resection will cost me about £2000~ and an ACL reconstruction is about £4500 I believe.
