KNEE ARTHRITIS - Cartilage plug transfer :

I had the oats proceedure on august 3, 2004 but instead of traditional plugs taken from other non weight bearing areas of my knee I had synthetic plugs. I was wondering if any one else has had these and was it sussessful for you.  I had 3  OCD defects  in my right knee from an injury i sustained while falling in a hole in my yard. 1 on the  medial femoral side which was less   than 1cm and 2 defects on the lateral femoral side one that was 1 cm and the other 1.3 cm. Only concern of my OS is that the larger defect plug may have cracked. I am back on crutches to give it  time to heal.
I am currently experiencing a catching feeling upon bending and am wondering if this is normal with this proceedure. thanks for any advice.
