Hi! My 3 year old daughter saw her Orthopedic surgeon Friday. Due to my daughter having Escobar Syndrome the doctor wants to do this surgery to get my daughter in the standing position so that she can learn to walk. She has muscle, ligment, tendon contractors and her knees wont go past the 90 degree angle.  I just would like to know a little history on this surgery and it's long term effects if any are known.  Thanks
