hi new member to this site.well lets see i'm a mother of two girls,14 and 12 years old.married for nearly 18 years and was comfirmed as having R.A 3 years ago and been on 6 different medications, to which i have been ill on all. The last one was the new T.N.F (EMBREL) which u inject twice a week.Well the side affects have been hair falling out,BIG BALD SPOTS, bad throat, last but not least Tubercolosis for which i am now taking tablets for the next 6 months. My doctors say that i'm one in a million!
Anyone else out there thats one in a million? getting quite lonely

hi orca...pls don't feel alone...we're all in the same leaky boat...take a look at my stats below....i think i've had a good deal from the knee menu.....take a look in the spiritual section...i have been having a rough couple of weeks with no sleep and a lot of pain...needles to say with my first surgery at 19....i was "the first kid on my block" to wear a nice big ugly brace when playing ball...i know how yu feel when you say you're one in a million...i used to get that since i had and have such a nice grab bag of flaws in my knee and hip...in fact a couple of dr's used to call in colleagues..'you ever see such advanced arthritis and mal tracking on such a young active guy?'...i used to want to bite them on the ankle if i could've hobbled over...there's always hope and this site is a great place to share and obtain encouragment from folks who are going thru many of the same things you are.....take a look at the spritual section...lots of good stuff to re-charge and empathize with....let me know how you're doing.....we're all here and we do care....
i hope you are feeling a little better, but don't feel alone..you're not...on my sleepless nights i feel so much better knowing all of the knee geeks are here to help and to listen w/out judgment if you need to vent or have a lil pity party...or share your feelings and know everyone understands..unlike the non knee folks who can somtimes be quite insensitive..
be good to yourself and take care....
