I am having ACL reconstruction in 5 weeks time and have a few post op questions.

I know everyone is different but how long should i expect to not drive for?

In the UK, can i expect to be on a CPM machine and would i have to wear a brace.

Not looking forward to the op or the long re-hab so trying to find out as much as possible to prepare me for the months ahead.

As far as I can tell, things like cryo-cuffs and CPM machines are more popular in america, but who knows?

(Hope fully someone does!)

I had a hamstring ACL reconstruction on Thursday in the UK.  I did not have a passive motion machine or ice cuff but am not sure how necessary they are.  I ice my knee regularly and stretch it as directed.  I wear a brace outside and so far so good.
