Overuse problems of the knee :

pain inside/backside knee - - Posted by pouw (pouw), 7 December 2004

Can someone help me diagnose this?
I have recently increased my mileage with running.
Now my knees start to ache.
The pain is located on the inside at the back of the knees.
It hurts more in walking than in running and so far I can continue to run, but before I do any serious damage I would like to find out what is causing this problem.
Perhaps I can solve it by doing some strengthening and stretching exercises, but which ones?
I have looked at typical overuse injuries, but I can't find anything useful.

Hi, here is a web site that might help you some:

http://www.ohsu.edu/orthopaedics/dc_knee.htm

You should be able to find some of these exercises helpful, but you should also go to your GP and get this checked out.
