The patello-femoral joint :

Revision of the Revision of the TTT - - Posted by scubadeco (scubadeco), 24 January 2005

After a tough rehab of the revision of the TTT (needed to move the TT another 5 mm for a total of 17 mm medially) from last June I am facing yet another revision. The TT broke freeat the screw and the top half is floating free from the bone but probably still attached to the tendon. Doc says he can not remove it. He will have to reattach it so is recommending another surgery. He says rehab will be much like the last revision and he will clean up anything else he finds. The pain has actually gets worse as time passes. We tried removing the hardware to see if it would help to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't decided whether or not to go forward with it. I'm already seeing one of the top OS in the area after going through 2 other OS.

Rob-

Sorry to hear about your mishap with your revision of your TTT.  I did not have the same problems as you, but I have had 4 TTTs on the right knee and 2 on the left with a 3rd on the way.  Lol...I guess for the right I have had a revision of the revision of the revision of my Hauser TTT and on the left it is a revision of the revision.  Wow!!  That is a mouthfull.

Hope everything works out for the best and let us know what you decide.
