NOTES - Your success stories :
Post op... doing great - - Posted by Riosilia (Riosilia), 3 July 2003
Today is my 3 week aniversity (surgery date was June 12th) and I had a patellofemoral ligament and lateral retinaculum repair, along with a chondroplasty.
Things are great! The only problem now is having enough patience not to push it. At home I can walk without my hinged brace but I still have to wear it outside. My ROM is 130, however, my therapist told me to keep it down because that is a little too high. I'm already doing straight leg raises with 5 pounds and some closed chain exercises (ie. leg press, mini squats, theraband). My VMO is slowly coming back; I can almost see it.
I'm ahead of schedule and I'm so ready to keep moving along! Hopefully the rest of my recovery will be this smooth. Now all I need is some patience.

Hi Riosilia
Thats absolutely fantastic, just the type of thing we need to hear about.
I'm so glad it's all worked out fantastically for you and keep up the rehab at a steady pace & you'll be back to full fitness very soon.
