After continual dislocations in both knees I had arthroscopy, lateral release and a TTT on my left knee 6 years ago and all is well - works almost good as new just a bit "crunchy".  Had another TTT on the right knee 7 months ago, rehab has gone fine until now, the screw has started to come out and is giving me some pain down my shin.  Have been told by my PT that the screw will have to come out and that this will be done by local anaesthetic!  Is this right?  I still have to see my OS in a couple of weeks to find out what is definately going to happen but in the meantime I'm panicking about having to get a screw out under local anaesthetic - any words of encouragement?  Has anyone else had this before?
