can anyone out there name 3 of of the best doctors in the United States at performing ACI?

believe it or not, I live in New York City and I can't find anyone who's done more than 25 of these procedures.

have femural chondyle defect, will travel....

Dr. Tom Minas out of Harvard is the best.  There's also a Dr. in Atlanta-Alex C-....I can't remember.  Also, the Genzyme customer service should be able to give you the names of MD's who've gone thru the training.  Good luck!

If Dr. Minas is not the best, he is certainly within the top 3. I went through a serious bone grafting procedure with Dr. Minas and I am very pleased with the results. I have a lot of scar tissue remaining, but the repair Dr. Minas performed on my defect has been great so far. I am at 15 months.   My procedure was very similar to an ACI procedure, however he did not inject my cells at the end.  My defect was small enough to just try the bone grafting and see how that turned out.   I also went to see Dr. Minas from out of state.  The treatment at Brigham hospital is also very good post-op. You are usally in the hosptial 3-4 days.

Going to see Andrew Levy in Summit NJ. About 30 minutes outside the city. He has done 83 of these and I have heard good things from a couple of his patients.

My son sent to University of Cincinnati and saw Angelo Colosimo, he is the team dr for UC and also the Bengals.  He did a great job on my sons ACI and had done 30 of these when he had his surgery 7 months ago.  I am sure that number is much higher, probably at least double by now.
