Success despite osgoods diagnosis - - Posted by Helen_uk (Helen uk), 29 July 2003

I just wanted to sya that even with osgoods you can still go onto do great things.
Am,y my daughter wasdiagnosed with this this year and has just gone on to win a bronze at this years natioanl swimmming championships.
The key is to do what the docs tell you to the word and then slowley re introduce impact work do your stretches and try not to worry you will get there.

Helen,

(Sorry a little late in responding... I think I'm still catching up!)

Your daughter's story is a great success -- thank you for posting it here and sharing it.  For all of us with lingering side effects (whether it was from misdiagnosis, mismanagement, or unusual cases of OSD), it's important to remember that others heal well.

Kudos to you and your daughter for managing her OSD so that it wouldn't become a lifelong problem!

Cheers,
Barb Smiley
