I have talked at length with my os about ahvaing a the avon pateela thingy to plate the femoral area to stop the graft rubbing against the bone and he is reluctant to do this for me as I have so many failed procedures behind me that he wants the reults with this procedure to be more proven.Which is great but it means me waiting in pain for an end to this pain I am in. Any one out there had this procedure without  a knee cap?
I would be intereseted to hear if it has reliefed the pain and if it has been succesful or whether you had any post op probs
