Collateral Ligaments and other non-cruciate tendons & ligaments around the knee :

partial mcl - - Posted by k_dvr (k_dvr), 16 December 2004

Hello everybody.

About a month ago i had an accident with my motorcycle.
i did a magnetic tomography and it showed extended but partial mcl at my left knee so i had brace at my leg and my doctor said that i must not  bend my knee for about 3 weeks and then i must have my brace on for 3 weeks more but i must start bending it.
I havent done any PT so i am now 45 day later i havent a full painless rom (i can't bend it fully ) but i'm doing better every day and my rom is increasing (i forgot to say that i threw away my brace 2 weeks ago  Grin) so my question is is this normal? i know that my problem seems to get's better everyday but is there anything i must be doing and i dont?
And is there some exercise i can do to make things go faster?
sorry about the poor english but i'm greek and i do a lot of mistakes
Thanks in advance
