NOTES - Your success stories :

Lysis/MUA success! - - Posted by hopeful1 (hopeful1), 8 July 2004

Hi, all.

For almost three months, I've posted updates in my post-op diary.  And I've reported early sucess under another thread, as well.  But, here's the official success of the lysis of adhesions scope with MUA:

Close to one-months post-op, and my CPM has been discontinued, formal ROM work in PT has been discontinued, and I am walking around my home, and short distances with NO brace, NO crutch.  My active ROM in PT today was 135, over 140 with assisstance.  The only real reason that my ROM is not further, is some swelling and new "chubbiness" behind my knee (yep- I've gained almost 10 pounds since my first surgery  Shocked which now puts me about 20 over my ideal - oops Wink).

All in all, I consider this a success.  While I still have a long way to go, I am better off than I was 4 months ago, and I'm actually a tiny bit ahead of the original predictions!

Thanks to everyone who helped encourage me with kind words Cheesy!

L.
