Joint hypermobility disorders :

Is my husband suffer from EDS? - - Posted by teng (teng), 23 July 2004

Hello guys,

I discover this board, when I tried to understand joint hypermobility.

My husband 's have paint from both knees since February this year.  The GP carried out x-ray and blood test twice, but found no inflamation.  She believed that he has joint hypermobility and so refered him to see a rhematologist.  However, when my husband mentioned that his GP thinks he has joint hypermobility, the rhematologist said my husband didn't score very high and he thinks my husband might be suffering from psoriatic artherisis.

Apart from knees paint, my husband has other symptoms that were mentioned by a lot of people on this board, e.g. mild headache, noisy ears, difficult to grip objects with his hands, chest paint around the heart's area, indigestion, feeling cold all the time, difficult to sleep, tireness and depression.

I have read about EDS and other messages regarding them and very worried, because am not sure whether my husband is suffering from EDS.  I took Stacey advised from one of the messages and arranged an appointment to see a GP next Tuesday.

Do you think I should demand help and referrals to a geneticist?

Kind regards

Teng
