Overuse problems of the knee :

Osgood Schlatter and surgery - - Posted by DMP (DMP), 23 September 2003

I had OS as a teenager and was (and still am) heavy into ethnic (East European) dancing.  It ended up that I broke the tibial tubricle and had to get surgery to remove it in 1989.

Up to this day, I have had on and off problems with it, I am wondering if there is anyone with the same situation as I.  I am wondering if I should get a scope done of my knee.

The doctor took an MRI of the knee, but does not really see much and asked if I wanted to get a scope.

I am really leary of going under the knife again.  It took over a year to "recover" the first time, if that is whay you want to call it.  To this day, my knee has always been at the best 75-85% of what it was.

Any suggestions,

DMP
