KNEE ARTHRITIS - Autologous chondrocyte implantation (A.C.I.) :

Carticel/A.C.I for knee arthritis - - Posted by JudoKnee (JudoKnee), 15 February 2004

Hi,
I have been thru 2 failed microfractures in the past 3 years. The osteoarthritis is a result of an ACL recon 5 years ago.  My O/S has suggested trying Carticel as another option. I have 2-3 open bone defects on the femoral end (upper) in the knee.

My question is has anyone here had success as using Carticel as a treatment option for degenaritive arthritis.

Thx, JK
