KNEE ARTHRITIS - Bone marrow stimulation :

Post Op Visit 12/30...:( - - Posted by NJDan (NJDan), 30 December 2002

Seasons Greetings all - Hope the season has treated you all well thus far.

Saw my OS today about 10 weeks post op.  I am still having a fair bit of pain walking for more than 5 mins and climbing stairs.  He wants to wait another 2 months but said that the Microfracture I had may not work..there was always the risk that the damage was too great.  Now I am worried and depressed...If it does not work then we go for the PKR...or to a TKR..not sure I want to do either one!  So, here I sit broken hearted!!!

Hope Santa was good to you all.

How big was the area of joint damage when you had the microfracture? Have you had any discussions about OATS or mosaicplasty? Don't give up yet.
