Dancing! - - Posted by Riosilia (Riosilia), 26 May 2003

Last Sat. I had prom and I danced for more than 3 hours.  It felt so good!!!  I taped my knee and took lots of anti-inflamitory before so my knee wasn't that bad.

However, about 15 minutes after I stoped dancing (when prom was over) the pain started kicking in.  This actually seems to happen to me a lot.  I mean the fact that the pain won't really come until after I'm done with the activity.  I think part of that might be that I was having such a good time that the pain I was feeling while I was dancing was very minimal.  THe same exact thing happens when I swim in meets.  Only after the meet (usually by the time I get home and try to sleep) my knee really starts to hurt.  I ended up going home early after prom because I was just so misirableSad  But it was worth it!  The only problem is that I'm still paying for it now.

I had a great weekend!  My sister is finally home (she was in London studying abroad for a semester) and in less than two weeks I will be done with high school!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Riosilia,
I'm so glad you had a great time at your prom! You deserve it! I just wanted to say that I seem to have the same problem as you in that while I'm doing an activity my knee doesn't bother me too much but once I stop or sit down the pain really starts to kick in. I really don't know why that is. Anyway, have a wonderful last 2 weeks of high school. Have lots of fun with your friends-the last few weeks is something my high school friends and I still talk about and we graduated in 1997. Have fun Smiley
