Joint hypermobility disorders :

What's the Difference? - - Posted by Mandy (Mandy), 24 October 2004

Hello Everyone!~

After just reading some previous posts of fellow kneegeeks, i began to wonder something.  i was wondering how you would be able to tell if you are hypermoblie.  i am pretty sure that i am hypermoblie (no acutal diagnosis).  my knees stay constantly subluxed and my patellas just seem like they are all over the place. Undecided    so i guess what i am wondering is how can you tell if you are just hypermobile or if your knees are this way because of something else and need to be repaired?

Hope i made at least a little sense here. Huh
Take care,
~Mandy

Hey Mandy! Here is a link to a website that has a few "tests" you can do yourself to see if you may be hypermobile: http://www.hypermobility.org/beighton.php  You may want to surf around the sight a little bit; they have some really good information!  I hope this helps!
