Collateral Ligaments and other non-cruciate tendons & ligaments around the knee :

HEALING NICLEY - - Posted by Randy (Randy), 23 August 2003

Hello everyone. been a while since Ive been on this site.

I had a tibial plateu fracture about 11 weeks ago . I started walking about 4 weeks post op. Anyhow I seem to be doing pretty good but when I saw my OS this past week, I asked him about the pain I still had in the inner part of my knee .He told me I tore my MCL ,what a suprise . I think he should of given me a detail list of my injuries and procedures taken, such as 4 screws and an L plate Shocked.

The good news at 11 weeks po, Im walking with a very undetectable limp, my extension is almost all the way there and my flection ,I think but not sure, is about 100% with some stiffness. My PT told me I was ahead of schedule for this type of injury when I saw he yesterday .

I truely believe that this web site and the help of the individuals who have experienced similar injuries have contributed to my rappid healing with thier insights.  Smiley

I would like to thank everyone who has given me encouragment and support (Jeanne , Larry , Judy , Theresa and many more whom I may have left out . thanks and good healing to all Wink

PS. How long will it take to heal my MCL? Huh Smiley
