NOTES - Your success stories :

ACL & life after PT - - Posted by largolou (largolou), 2 August 2004

It has been quite a while since I have been on this website, so I figured I would give you all an update on my progress.  I was operated on in Dec. of 2002 and like most people during that time, spent quite alot of time on this website.  It was invaluable for advice and support and really helped me through the post operative/rehab period.  I'm doing pretty much what I want to do, swimming, biking, some very light running and really haven't had any real problems.  I am still trying to build the leg up with these excersises (I really don't like gyms) and would have to say if there is a dissapointment it is that the muscles don't build up like they used to!  It is a long road and if you take it a day at a time and follow the PT protocal you will get better!

Thanks for your time!

This old Forum was so valuable that we have kept it as an archive. It is just for reference. If you want to ask questions or offer advice, there is also a current Bulletin Board which you can access from our home page.
