KNEE ARTHRITIS - Autologous chondrocyte implantation (A.C.I.) :

SaluCartilage - - Posted by mayme (mayme), 24 March 2004

Take a gander at this website www.salumedica.com and read about SaluCartilage. Sounds pretty amazing and the shortened rehab time would be incredible.

Anyone from Europe had this yet?

Thanks,
CJ

There have been over 100 of these implanted across Europe and in Australia. From all accounts it has been very successful for the treatment of focal osteochondral lesions.

It works in the short term and the longer term results are looking good but we need to see. It's still in clinical trials but I hope to see it on the world wide market soon. Ive heard that FDA approval is not far away.
