My Pre-Op today.. hospitals stink - - Posted by sjugradgirl (sjugradgirl), 19 January 2005

hey gang,
I went for my pre-op today to hospital that i have never been to. It was not the best experience.  I got there around 8:30 and didn't leave until 2:30 because there was (and still is) an inconsistency as to whether I am inpatient or outpatient. They wouldn't listen to me. I tried to give them the number and name of my OSs RN who told me it would be inpatient and they just didn't want to hear it!
On top of that, thier facilities where horrible. I swear at one point they had me waiting in the Nurses Locker room.  Nurses kept coming in and grabbing things out of lockers. There were 3 other people there thinking the same thing.
But I know that my OS will have me in good hands once he is there. But man was it horrible. Okay, I had to vent.
Thanks.

I wouldn't like it if patients had to wait in our locker rooms! I would be the first to complaint!  It's a private area (!!!!!).

Anyway, it must have been a horrible situation for you, not fun! Hope your surgery experience is a bit better!
