Proximal and extensor realingment? - - Posted by sjugradgirl (sjugradgirl), 19 January 2005

Are those just other names for TTT?

I saw them on my chart when I went for my Pre-Op testing today.  I was looking at it and the receptionist covered it up. I was like "excuse me, but it IS my chart. I think I have a right to know what is written on it" and she said "fine, just dont ask me to explain it to you"

What a witch! But contrary to her belief i understood everything i read... um... except for this. lol

Proximal realignment would be the soft tissue work done close to the knee such as a VMO advancement and or medial reefing and a distal realignment would be work done further away from the knee like the TTT- extensor realignment.

I didn't have to do any pre-op testing other than what was done the day of surgery. What are they testing you for?

Good luck on the 24 for your surgery.
