Cruciate ligaments :

3 month post ACL op report - - Posted by largolou (largolou), 6 March 2003

Greetings to you all, it is around 3 month's since my operation (Dec 3rd) and, overall, everything seems to be progressing fairly well.  ROM  is 0  to 130-135 there is minimal stiffness in the knee although what I have seems to be in the patellar tendon area.  PT 3 times weekly and getting more aggresive on the excersizes.  Stationary bike 20 mins, stairmaster 20 mins, treadmill 10 mins backward, 20 mins forward and even though I haven't increased the ankle weights the open and closed leg reps are up.  The only couple of things I would like to improve on are the hamsting curls are giving me a fit ( they seem to cause pain in the tendon and I can't increase weight at all in this area) and the quads (VMO I think) are not coming back to my satisfaction.  I can tighten them up and look at those little muscles but they will NOT get bigger!  Reading  the other posts, I notice that this seems to be the time for re-injury.  I feel great and really feel that I can start pushing out but don't want to stretch it out or re-injure.

Thanks again for all of the support and info. This is a great forum!
