First Hard Fall With New ACL - - Posted by Bballbaybee2110 (Bballbaybee2110), 11 January 2005
Hey All,
I was playing in my game Sunday and I took my first hard fall... no thanks to the girl tripping me... knee feels pretty good... a little bit of pain... but nothing to be worried about... it should go away with this weeks rest... I think every other part of me is more banged up then my knee is... THANK GOD... I've been very fortunate through this whole thing... I hope everyone else is the same... god bless!

Hi BBY, what has your OS told you about the graft incorporation and being released to sports.
I've been told by an expert that allografts are fully re-incorporated in 18 months, at a microscopic level.
Apparently this does not relate 100% to when you are released to play sports.
Your OS released you to play hoops at 5 months, albeit with a brace.
Does it matter that the graft may not be fully incorporated? What does he/she say about it?
Just wonderin.....
Thanks, you're posts are helpful.

Any1 know how roughly how long it takes from recon surgery to being able to ski again.
I'm an 18 y/o fit male who's hopin 2 go on a ski trip 8.5months after my provisional recon surgery date. Do u think this is naive on my part ?
Cheers
