Re: Weird allergies - - Posted by cm (cm), 21 April 2003

Red food coloring.   It gives me migranes - within a couple hours of drinking red kool-aid or eating red jello.    Once I figured that out, I eliminated 98% of my headaches ever since.

Hi cm, I'm allergic to certian food colouring too,..particularly red and orange ones. I get a very voilent reaction including disorientation, dizziness, vomiting, breathlessness and eventually in severe cases a collapse and shut down of my system. I have a similar response to white chocolate too.  Undecided

M, sorry to hear about your allergy to your roof...lol, another odd bod trait no doubt!  Roll Eyes Hope your rash is going down and not causing as much irritation now. How is your knee going by the way, any news on yours urgery date yet? Got my fingers crossed for you!  Smiley

Oh by the way, not quite an "odd allergy" more ironic really...although I actually worked with horses for over 20 years... I'm still slightly allergic to them!  Tongue

Love and hugs....Jo

I'm allergic to the holy water at church.  Where ever it touches me, I break out in hives.

I'm allergic to Oranges, and any other similer fruit like tangerines. But strangly Grapefruit, Limes and Lemons are all fine.

I'm allergic to Ant Bites, weird I know.

And on a more seriouse note Morphine and Stematil (not sure of the spelling). Morphine causes big problems for me, including respritory problems, not good. Stematil just makes me very sick, odd for an anti sickness med.

I also have various other weird side effects from diffrent meds, mainly painkillers.

Kidding aside, I am allergice to the following

Elastoplast
Tubigrips
Latex
Penicilin
Plaster of Paris
Neoprene
Any Anti-Sickness tablets (they make me sick)

Having side affects with most of the drugs I have been presribed with

Tramadol
Tylex
Celebrex
Lansaprazole
Co-Proxamol
Co-Codamol

More or less everything! Grin
