Cruciate ligaments :

chronic PCL insufficiency exercises - - Posted by palpandi (palpandi), 12 January 2005

Hello there,

I am new on this board. I have been suffering from PCL laxity for more than 7 years now. I first got the PCL tear during a basketball match. It was not serious, though I felt problems of instability, difficulty lifting weights, and more importantly my muscles started to atrophy. Nevertheless I didn't give up playing basket ball and I am a player in the college team. My knee is giving in now.

I also play cricket. While bowling I am putting more pressure on the PCL insufficient right leg which in turn is felt in the hip. Even the hip muscles started to atrophy now. I don't know except to give up sports and sit back at home.

I would be grateful if someone could suggest me some good exercises to build my atrophied hip, thigh and calf muscles. I still want to play basketball Smiley

Looking forward to your suggestions
Palpandi
