The Droitwich Knee Clinic is internationally known for its commitment to academia.

Their separate academic charitable trust, The Knee Foundation, runs numerous training courses for medical professionals, including skills training in knee arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery.

The Droitwich Spa itself is also within the hospital building and is a quite unique facility - with highly concentrated natural salt water pumped into a pool from an underground sea under the town itself. The brine makes one completely buoyant and is a wonderful aid to rehabilitation after surgery.
The physiotherapists go into the brine pool with patients.
At all times during the patient's management, they have immediate access to the surgeon, and attend all the surgical case conferences, together with the surgeons, research staff and nurses.
