15 year old LR
« on: July 07, 2004, 08:14:43 PM »
Back when I was a teen (15) I dislocated my knee inward a few times and the OS swore I needed the LR (after a scope). Here I am in my mid 30's, chronic knee pain, clicking popping and a weird numbness from my knee to my 4th and 5th toes. Over the past few months I have been going go UCLA to get a proper diagnosis, after the nerve test and MRI they found torn meniscus, minor nerve damage, degenerative cartilage and hypermobility of my patella. (no back problems) They recommended PT 3x a week since the meniscus does not really hurt. I swim and jog 4- 5X per week, but I am so tired of the pain, and I am also scared of my future with the arthritis at such an early age. I don't really want a knee replacement! Any suggestions? Help? Similar situations?
