Help! What does this mean?

   :oI have had patello-femoral for years. My knees have been acting up the past month or so.  Today, I stepped down and I felt a sharp pain. Ever since, my knee feels as if ice water is running through it.  I can walk, but it is a weird feeling.  Is this serious?

If I were you, I'd call an OS and go get it checked out.. i had PFS and went through treatment for a year before we decided on a leteral Release 2 weeks ago.. I had problems with stairs and i still do.. let me know how it goes
