Arthrofibrosis in the UK
« on: June 09, 2018, 09:43:28 AM »
Does anyone know of any consultants in the UK that specialise in Arthrofibrosis?  I had ACL recon a few years ago and havenít been able to gain full extension and walk with a fixed knee.  In March is this year the consultant went back in and discovered scar tissue had grown into my notch, scarred down my fat pad and in other areas  so did a removal got my leg straight although with difficulty but it has now gone back to being bent.  He has stated he does not believe there is anything else he can do.  Being left in this position will have a massive impact on my job so I need to find someone who specialises in it as from reading the posts there appears to be more that can be done just maybe not with this consultant

Tim Spalding has experience with a friend of mineís knee. Itís not really something surgeons specialise in as itís more a complication than an injury. You need an ACL expert and a super specialised knee surgeon

There is a list here but only Glyn Evans in U.K.
