ACL graft torn again?
« on: April 13, 2018, 01:41:11 AM »
Hi all,

I had a full tear of my ACL in my right knee when I was 14. But due to my growth plates still being open, they postponed the surgery until I was 16. I had a patellar graft put in arthroscopically.
Iím now 25 and have taken up running and hiking much more than I have in years. While on a run, I began experiencing some pretty harsh pain in my knee every step when I straighten my leg to walk. The pain is from the inside posterior. My knee doesnít feel as stable as it did before.

It really only hurts after a while of running or walking. And there is no swelling.

I know I should just go to the doctor, but Iíd like an opinion on if Iím doing any further damage from trying to let it work its way out on its own.

Thank you.
