Popping feeling--scar tissue?
« on: November 09, 2017, 01:32:22 pm »
Hey all! I am 5 weeks out from an MPFL reconstruction with cadaver graft. I'm bending to close to 100 degrees, although it takes 20 minutes of painful stretching to get there. Anyway, last night I was sitting on my couch bending my knee (like I do several times per day) and felt a POP right where the new ligament is. It actually didn't hurt at all but from the sensation I feared the graft might have snapped. I know this is very unlikely and would probably hurt a ton.. right???So I'm thinking maybe I broke through some scar tissue since my knee feels looser and less restricted today (still no unusual pain). Does this sound possible (is that how scar tissue works)? I'd really appreciate responses since this is my first knee surgery and I am new to all of this. Should I be concerned?? Thanks a lot!!!!
