Did I re-tear my ACL graft while sitting down?
« on: July 11, 2017, 02:06:41 AM »
Hi,

I'm worried about a possible ACL graft tear.
I am about 10 weeks post-op, and am out of my brace although I still do have some joint pain.
I was sitting down in a cafe chatting to a friend, and my leg twisted awkwardly with a click/snap accompanied by a small twinge of pain.
My weight was completely on the chair, but I am worried that such a twist could have torn my graft, as I definitely heard something inside the knee.
Do you know whether this is possible?

I remember these weird episodes in the first few months post op. Most likely something to do with scar tissue breaking up. I am pretty positive your graft is intact. Cheers.
