ACL and Meniscus repair issues
« on: October 27, 2012, 02:54:53 PM »
I am now 6 weeks post op from having an ACL reconstruction with a graft from my hamstring (right knee). I also had a meniscus repair. The right side of the meniscus had to be removed and then the left side was able to be saved with some stitches.

I recently had an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon for a follow up. All looked well. I have about 2 more degrees to go with my range of motion to have it even with the other knee. I can put weight on it now and have started to walk normally with the help of my PT person.

The only concern is that I feel a little bit of a pulling feeling when bending the knee when it isn't completely relaxed. Its like there is a rubber band in there that cant quite stretch over a knot and it takes it a minute to get over it. Ive also experienced some cracking/popping feelings. All of which are not painful. The cracks and popping are probably similar to a cracking knuckles.

Had anyone experienced this or should I be concerned and make another doctors appointment?
