Could this be causing my patella femoral pain
« on: October 20, 2012, 12:07:31 AM »
I was diagnosed 2 years ago with patella femoral pain along with mistracking, by a sports medicine doctor. I was thinking the other day and totally forgot to say anything to my doctor 2 years ago about it. I went to a chiropracter 4 years ago, so 2 years before i found out about my patella tacking problem. My chiropracter told me i had osgood schlatters but also told me that i had slightly misaligned hips(slight turned hips) by xrays. I was getting weekly back adjustments but then my dad told me i couldnt go there anymore. Could the misaligned hips be the cause of the tracking problems with the patella?

Sure it can, but it can go the other way around aswell. The truth is that "Patella femoral pain" is the black hole of orthopedics, no one really now why it happens. Some people have patella mistracking but no symtoms at all. It's really really strange, and that's why treating it is really hard aswell.
