OA question
« on: September 14, 2012, 11:06:36 AM »
I have sever OA that mostly effected the lateral side. I have been wearing an unloader brace going on 6 years now due to the fact my knee has colapsed. My doc and i have noticed my medial side is not almost as bad as the lateral side however the brace is still helping so I'm using it. (joint space narrowing, osteyophtes, blalblabla. lol)
My question is I also have chronic tendinites, had a mcl sprain my bakers cyst has partialy eruptedHad to ahve it drained 2x with a cortizone injection (which I try to avoid) and was told to stay off my feet! I pretty much had a terrible couple of months.

So I'm wondering is the mcl sprain, tendenitis ect all due to the OA? Has anyone had this?

thanks sorry for any mistyping I lost my glasses!

OH ya.....I see a sports specialist but I'm thinking is it time to move on to the Knee replacement doc. Also my doc is shocked I got this far with my knee and thinks if I can hang on a couple of years more it would benifit me. I'm 41.
