I developed MRSA after open patellabreak. My patella is now gone and I have has numerous clean out of my joint and antibiotics. I also developed meningnities in middle of all. I finally was cleared for repair without patella and now just again there is an infection severe one in my new repair.
My options are now to try tough this out, though I now that my leg will never work normal again, far from normal. I'm an active sports girl 28 years with music career business...luckily I don't sing or have to be on stage. I create music. The other option I have is to just take off the leg right over my knee and wear prosthetic. I have no idea what to do out of this situation. All I know is that I'm very tired of this hospital that I still am in, am tried of pain and feeling sick and I want my active life back as much as possible. Anyone out there facing patellabreak with MRSA ?/Malin
