Hi,
I had knee microfracture on April 20th of this year. I was NWB for six weeks, and then my doctor told me to ditch my crutches. Everything seemed to be going well. I haven't had swelling, and have had very minimal pain for a couple of months now. My trainer at the gym, who is very knowledgeable about rehabbing knee issues, is really trying to strengthen that leg again. Thursday he had me step up on a 6" step balancing with the other leg in the air. I would then step down with the leg in the air slowly lowering. I had this stabbing pain on the inside joint of my right knee, the one I had microfracture done on. I have no swelling. It was just a very little bit warm. I'm concerned that it means it might fail. I just found out last week that I'm pregnant with my first child at 35 years old. I have two discs in my lower back that are gone, and another degenerating. I'm very concerned that my knee is giving up on me! I'm only six weeks pregnant. Could any of you tell me whether this stabbing pain is normal. Usually I would have it if I stepped wrongly, but it's been pretty constant with no swelling since Thursday.
