I though you said you saw a GP and a physio therapist.   The OS  is the specialist and they decide if you need surgery and how soon.   At least that's the way it is done here in the US.  MRI in 9 months or so,  definitely try to get it sooner.    LAS

Well, I am off to the states for a few days.  After doing research online and asking questions on yahoo answers, apparently you can get your MRI faster depending on how "urgent" your need is.  I am definitely going to try and talk to an OS when I come back and hopefully be given a more urgent/faster MRI scan, or op for a cancellation spot somehow.

Just a small update I went to a family doctor to have me referred to a Ortho, and got an X-ray since I had nothing to lose and it takes a little time to get done. Of course the X-ray didn't show anything.  Good news though, my dad said he would be willing to pay for MRIs if needed.  I'm hoping this all gets sorted out by Christmas so I can start training again for badminton season in April

I still am training, but very conservative. Doesn't feel good to not be able to give 100% and not being able to play back to back days
