Anyone know a good taping technique for patella stability/ cartiledge damage on the patella. I've looked some up but many of them are precut packages, I have the rolls...
AND does it really work?

Hi,

My PT used kineseotape my last PKR and it really helped with swelling and bruising after surgery, so yes, it works. He had gone to several workshops to learn the technique, so perhaps you might check with your PT about placement. My PT did not use pre-packaged strips, he cut them individually.

Google McConnell Taping technique. It's the standard used by PT's and Ortho's for patella instability. Worked great for me pre-surgery before I had the instability corrected.

McConnell works great for me too! I had it for the instability, and it worked great! by association, it helped damaging any more of the cartilage.
