Patella maltracking, fluid next to tendon
« on: July 27, 2012, 04:27:59 PM »
My rk patella tracks laterally I've been having pain on the lateral part of the tendon that connects to the tibia today. I noticed what looks like a fluid filled area on the lateral side of the tendon. Could this be whats causing the pain?

That might the fat pad which is inflamed. I have maltracking patellas too, and have been doing strengthening exercises for a year now. I recently began torturous eccentric exercises for patellar tendinitis. Not a lot of fun, but the results have been good.

How long have you had this problem?
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
