Hello x

I'm around nine weeks post op and right now the pain I have in my left hip almost groin area is extreme to to the point my teeth are chattering, this has been going on for about two weeks, what is this? Is it caused by my knee now working the right way and my joints now having to adapt? Or and I had a tto, mpfl reconstruction and arthroscopy on the 11th may.

If anyone's experienced this teethchattering pain please get in touch :-(

Hi there Helen Catherine,

Sorry to hear you are hurting.  It is normal after your knee is straightened out to have some hip or back issues as things get re-aligned, but not to the extreme you are describiing.  By all means contact your OS asap and get in to be seen.  There are all sorts of places where you can get tendonitis, bursitis, or whatever that a simple cortisone shot can resolve, but you won't know until you get things checked out.

Good luck :)
