Hello, I see it's been a week since you posted this. How are you doing? After your osteotomy was your leg in a cast or were you free to move it around, but non-weight bearing?
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.

That doesn't sound good. Do you mean he will do an MUA (manipulation under anesthesia)?

He had talked about both procedures. Mua and latetal release. Knee cap is stuck not moving. Only pain im having is in my knee cap. And its numb

You might need an MUA but I don't know about a lateral release. That is only rarely indicated as an isolated procedure and often causes more problems than it solves.

Could you elaborate a little more on what your knee problems are and what the doctor was trying to fix?

yes the reason he wants to release my patella is because my patella is stuck and wont move at all. that may be why i cant bend my knee at all. he said there is probaly some scar tissue in the preventing it. theis is my 3rd surgery in one yr. long story short i had surgery last years from a different dr. he really messed my knee up. i went in for a meniscus tear, apparently the dr never fixed it. so i went and met my dr i have now he scoped me in jan fixed my meniscus which was also discoid, then few months later my valgus got bad. so we did a open wedge femoral osteotomy 5 weeks ago. im healing real good. minimal pain. only pain i feel is in my knee cap.
