"What Happened To You?" THE GAME

If I had a dollar for every time somebody asked me "Wow, what'd you do to your leg?" or some such variation, I'd have, like, a zillion dollars. And I've only been doing this for like a year! At first I would tell people the truth, but then I decided that the truth is BORING and I could probably do a lot better. That's when I came up with this game. Basically, every time someone asks you what happened, you make up a much more interesting story right there on the spot -- the more obviously ridiculous it is, the better (because LYING is no fun, but creativity totally is). Example: "I was robbing a bank and it went bad, but we stole enough money to hire a good lawyer," "I was a bad guy in a Jet Li movie," "I sprained it doing competitive Bonsai," "I'm actually a superhero and this is part of my cover identity," etc.

Then I figured, it translates pretty well to a forum game, too. I know not everybody has the whole traumatic-injury thing going on, but this one time maybe it's fun to pretend. Give it a shot!

What happened to your knee?

My knee was invaded by red parasitic ants who live in the space around the joint, and their radio signals to their families cause interference with normal bending motion. There has been a recent spate of these parasites after their normal home in the Norfolk Broads was flooded due to the recent rain.

I chipped my cartilage on a wheel barrow. But uh the wheel barrow was full of orphans. And I was saving those orphans from a burning building. The fire was started by an arsonist clown. Who I later apprehended with the help of my OS.

I was abducted by aliens....

They are probing the knees of all earthlings which they consider 'of interest'. This is evidenced by the 2 probe portals in my left leg. It is my understanding that some individuals are of such interest that they cannot download sufficient data in one abduction and therefore have to return time and time again.

Generally memories of these abductions are erased, however, a few of us are harder to deceive!

Different stories I have made up (I will include story and reality)

Sprained Ankle/ Achilles Tendinitis (age 13)
reality- tripped walking off a basketball course
story- was running from a rattlesnake that was rattling at me (this has happen twice but they were separate from the ankle)

Burn on my leg (age 14)
reality- burnt it on the back of a go kart
story- this was pretty unique so I told people the truth (but few believed me)

Assorted large scrapes and bruises (age 16)
reality- bike riding in Israel
story- after I fell off my bike I got hit be a smart car (made up by my friend who then told people this)

Knee things
reality- you guys know the deal
story- I was saving a child from a burning building when I got chased by a bear down a ski slope, so with the child in arms I started sking and escaped the bear who could not get skis on but I fell because I didn't know how to ski

MDK was robbing a bank and I was the security guard stationed in the bank.  Suddenly batman came through the window knocking me down and  allowed me to be abducted by aliens who put red ants in my knee.  Then I woke up rolled over in bed and hurt myself.   

We had a mud slide after all the fires and I was swept away, I jumped onto a log and road it out but then another log banged into my log causing my fat pad to impinge

"was chasing away one of my daughter's stalkers and when I went to trip him so he'd fall, my knee gave out and I landed on broken glass and gravel which had to be scrubbed out"

I was racing a stock car and another car hit me, careening me out of control and I smashed head on into a concrete wall, and the car crushed me.

Oh yah, this is what really happened to me.  Yes, I was actually doing something awesomely fun!! Still hurt a butt-load though.

i just had tattoos of scars done on my knee, and use to crutches and limp to make it look natural.
