I had an ACL & meniscus repair back in 2003. In 2010 I had a mensicus tear again. It was ok for a few months after the menyscectomy but I got another tear last year so they did another surgery. Now, I have a tear again. (the only exercise I have done was swimming & cycling. no running at all. not even after the bus) So far it was just the medialis bit, this time it is the lateral as well.
No one could tell me why my menisucus is keep tearing when I am not doing physical job and doing only physiotherapy sort of exercises...
They are guessing my knee is unstabil because the replaced ligament is not in a good shape and that is why my meniscus is keep tearing... (I started another topic as well cause I am interested in mensicus transplants. that is my only hope to be honest. If ...there is another implant available after Menaflex has been reversed) My surgeon wants to do a 4th meniscectomy (and re-do the ACL after) I don't want meniscectomy again and I don't want another ACL.... (for me they only could do the ACL in two steps cause the first ACL was done in another country where they drilled the holes in a dfferent angle. so they need to fill them first and remove my ligament and then, with a 3rd surgery they can do the ACL in their own way.) On the top of it I had an ACL for the other knee few months ago. so, I don't like the sound of 3 more surgeries..
