he a knee expert and is the physio to the tennis player Novak Djokovic
but at a 100 a time to see him its well out of my budget right now!
ive spoken to a few other sports physio's now of them was 50 pounds
but again if you want the best you have to pay a little more i know that!

My physio is very good, is a tennis coach too, so sports focused...not near you, but £50 for an hour initial assessment (mine was very thorough), £42 for 30 mins thereafter
Any physio in London who treats millionaire sportsmen is going to charge whatever they can ...call me a cynic
Those attached to private hospitals also cost more in my experience.
You could try the physios at the Bushey Spire (which is where all the RNOH Stanmore surgeons have private practice), so they will be more than used to dealing with patients post cartilage repair

This is a massive deal for you, so need to take the buill by the horns

Your current surgeon? Didn't you say it was going to be April? Long time to wait given the issues?

Excellent - just don't moan at the surgeon (they don't seem to like being questioned
), write down a list of all your concerns and questions and be honest about your fears

just thought id update again!!
had appointment to see sugeon waited 2hrs in his clinic, didn't get to see him saw some other strange doctor who didn't have a clue
being sent for mri scan and was told if the micro fracture has failed they dont do carliage grafts etc at that hospital
i,m still in the dark regarding whats going on,
i think the the op has kinda failed, as i cant really do much exercise but once the muscles warm up i can do weights pretty much pain free which i couldn't do before op so i guess thats better but i still cant bend down with the weight on the bad knee which is the same as before op
anyone else had this op ? does this mean its failed or am i just pushing and expecting to much too soon

If you want to see what an mri image of a failed mfx looks like you can see a cross section pic of mine here... at 8 months postop. this is about a 1.1cm defect with intrusion into the subchondral bone.
https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/40064007/1/knee?h=0cabc6
there's also my scope pics from my last surgery.... the knee's junk as you can see. the lateral meniscus is about the only thing that is even remotely near intact along with the lateral femur and tibia, but even that's getting some wear from the abuse and some damage it had.

Rob - this is my MRI, taken before my last scope, my defect nicely filled with fibro (see the jaggedy bit at the bottom of the condyle) - I am not sure how they can tell if the mfx has failed to be honest. My knee doesn't hurt in daily use, but as the subchondral bone is less than perfect, that area is sore if prodded
When do you get the results?

i get them on the 15th day after my birthday lol
mine doesn't hurt if it is touched or pressed on it is fine
but still swollen around the cartilage area where they did the op 6months ago!
my pain is when i try and squat on the bad leg with the knee over the front on the leg if that makes sense?
also weights casuing it to hurt ,but once i start doing the weight after a few sets of the leg extensions the pain goes away!
ive started jogging last few days even though it is very slow and a little bit of a limp still it doesnt hurt or seem to upset it afterwards
so i am at a loss has it worked ,has it failed or bit of both?
